Thanks to the support of the COST Action PROGRAMMING (CA21122), I participated in the WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2025 Congress in Rome as both a speaker and chairperson. I delivered a presentation titled “Real-World Challenges and Personalized Strategies in Diagnosis and Treatment” during the symposium “Navigating the Complex Interplay of Aging, Chronic Kidney Disease, and Osteoporosis” and co-chaired the session “New Horizons in Sarcopenia.”
My talk, based on clinical data from the Istanbul Musculoskeletal Health Consortium (IMHeal), focused on managing older adults with overlapping CKD-MBD and osteoporosis, emphasizing the often-underrecognized challenge of adynamic bone disease. These perspectives complemented contributions from Prof. Richard Keen and Prof. Savas Ozturk.
The sessions attracted considerable interest from clinicians and researchers worldwide, fostering academic exchange and new collaborative opportunities. This participation also helped increase the visibility of both IMHeal and the PROGRAMMING network, promoting their mission to improve clinical care and develop targeted educational initiatives in geriatric medicine across Europe.
If you are interested in joining future events or collaborative projects under the PROGRAMMING network, we warmly invite you to connect and be part of this growing community!
