PROGRAMMING Educational Needs Dataset — Research Access

What is this resource? The dataset generated through the multinational multilingual open online survey PROGRAMMING conducted aiming at assessing educational interests and needs in Geriatric Medicine among healthcare professionals and final-year medical students.

Who is it for? Researchers interested in Geriatric Medicine education, healthcare workforce development, professional education, cross-country comparisons or related questions.

What can it be used for? Approved scientific analyses, papers, theses, policy documents and conference presentations.

Understand the dataset before requesting access: Before submitting a research request, users are encouraged to consult the survey protocol and watch the short explanatory video, which provides an accessible overview of the survey methodology, objectives and relevance to Geriatric Medicine education.

How to use it: Researchers should first review the description of the dataset and submit a research proposal/request through the designated PROGRAMMING/EuGMS procedure.

Use and acknowledgement requirements: Dataset access is controlled. Data should not be made publicly downloadable. Any resulting output must follow the applicable PROGRAMMING/EuGMS acknowledgement, authorship, data governance and COST requirements. Please refer to the PROGRAMMING/EuGMS procedure. Permission required.

Requesting access to data for scientific works production:

  • Read the Survey Protocol.
  • Watch the Explainer Video.
  • Request permission according to PROGRAMMING/EuGMS procedure.
  • Proposals are reviewed by the Review Committee to avoid duplication, encourage collaboration and ensure consistency with the objectives and methodological principles of the Action.
  • Once the proposal is approved, work can start.
  • Upon completion of the work and before any submission/dissemination/publication, materials should obtain a new approval by the Review Committee.
