My Experience at the 22nd EuGMS Congress 2026 in Lille, France

Attending the 22nd European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS) Congress in Lille, France, was a wonderful and inspiring experience. The congress brought together researchers and healthcare professionals from different countries, creating an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and learn about the latest developments in geriatric medicine. I particularly enjoyed the sessions focusing on healthy ageing, intrinsic capacity, frailty, and integrated care for older adults, which broadened my perspective and inspired new ideas for future research.

One of the highlights of my participation was the opportunity to present my research entitled “Intrinsic Capacity and All-Cause Mortality in Older Adults: The Role of Individual Domains, Multidomain Patterns, and Frailty” as an oral presentation. Sharing our findings with an international audience and engaging in scientific discussions was a valuable experience that strengthened my motivation to continue my research. The congress also provided a great opportunity to meet colleagues from different countries, exchange knowledge, and establish connections for potential future collaborations.

Beyond the scientific sessions, the congress was an enriching experience for both my academic and professional development. It was inspiring to be part of an international scientific community dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older adults. I am sincerely grateful to COST Action CA21122 PROGRAMMING for supporting my participation through the Young Researcher and Innovator Conference Grant. This experience broadened my scientific perspective, strengthened my professional network, and encouraged me to continue contributing to geriatric research.
