On 22 January 2026, during the internal meetings of PROGRAMMING COST Action CA21122 in Brussels, WG5 held an intensive full-day face-to-face workshop dedicated to the development of its Policy/Advocacy Briefs. The working session structured discussions around four targeted briefs under the theme “Geriatric Medicine Matters – The Added Value for…”, addressing (1) Older People and Civil Society, (2) Healthcare Professionals, (3) Healthcare-related Educators and Curriculum Developers, and (4) Healthcare Systems and Policymakers.
Through focused 90-minute working blocks for each brief, the main coordinators and Task and Finish group members refined key messages and discussed on the most pertinent content to be included. Between February and June 2026, the main coordinators will undertake linguistic, formatting and visual editing, ensuring that the briefs are presented in a clear, policy-oriented format.
The refined briefs will then be presented to stakeholders during the PROGRAMMING meeting in Zagreb (16–17 June 2026), where their feedback will inform the finalisation and dissemination of the key policy outputs.
