Short Term Scientific Missions
PROGRAMMING (PROmoting GeRiAtric Medicine in countries where it is still eMergING, COST Action CA21122) is pleased to announce the new open call for STSM (Short Term Scientific Mission) grant applications.
STSM is a professional visit of a host institution located in a different country than the country of affiliation for a certain duration to complete a particular project which is compatible with the scope and objectives of the action.
Some ideas for an STSM might be but not limited to as follows:
- To observe a new care model in a center of excellence
- To learn a new skill/technology from its experts
- To supervise/consult/guide a team as an expert, establishing a project or care model in their home institution
- To launch a collaboration between two institutions for research/exchange knowledge
The amount of the grant which has a maximum limit of EUR 4000,00 (per grant) is to be decided by the Actionβs Core Group based on the request of the applicant and considering the duration and location of the STSM. This funding aims to contribute for the expenses of travel, accommodation, living and proposed project.

Virtual Mobility GrantsΒ
PROGRAMMING (PROmoting GeRiAtric Medicine in countries where it is still eMergING, COST Action CA21122) is pleased to announce the new open call for VM (Virtual Mobility) grant applications.
VM is a special type of networking activity which enables a professional collaboration of the grantee with other researchers and innovators or organizations in an online setting. This collaboration might be (but not limited to) in the form of a virtual mentoring, designing or performing a scientific study (e.g. data collection, statistical analysis etc.) or coordination of a project which benefit the Actionβs objectives. Β Accordingly, the VM grant candidate should propose a specific task/project of their choice to be completed in a determined period of time through this professional collaboration OR could choose one of the missions proposed by the WG2, WG4 and WG5 Leaders to facilitate the objectives of this WGs namely:
- Mentoring and international collaboration on data synthesis supporting specific statements on geriatric curriculum for non-geriatricians working in ambulatory care of older persons (WG2).
- Mentoring and international collaboration for the generation and conduction of a two-stage Delphi survey and analysis, for the generation of a geriatric curriculum for non-geriatricians working in ambulatory care of older persons (WG2).
- Conducting the βPreparation and conduct of critical appraisal/risk of bias assessmentβ step of the planned systematic review by WG4
- Conducting the βData analysis and synthesisβ step of the planned systematic review by WG4
- Collaborating on a communication campaign to disseminate PROGRAMMING activities, opportunities, and results, effectively engaging a wide range of meaningful stakeholders (WG5).
The amount of the grant which has a maximum limit of EUR 1500,00 (per grant) is to be decided by the Actionβs Core Group considering the complexity of the task, activities to be covered via the VM grant and number of applications. This funding aims to contribute for the overall effort given during the completion of the special work.

ITC conference grants
PROGRAMMING (PROmoting GeRiAtric Medicine in countries where it is still eMergING, COST Action CA21122) is pleased to announce the new open call for ITC Conference grant applications.
ITC Conference grants aim to support Action Participants affiliated to a legal entity located in an Inclusiveness Target Country (ITC) / Near Neighbour Country establishing a network and increasing visibility via active participation in one of the high-level conferences in a relevant field of study. Herein, the active participation basically implies an oral presentation of their own work within the scope of the Action.
The amount of the grant which has a maximum limit of EUR 2500,00 (per grant) for face-to-face conferences and EUR 500,00 (per grant) for virtual conferences, is to be decided by the Action Core Group considering the duration and location of the Conference and the actual conference fee. This funding aims to contribute for the expenses of travelling, accommodation, and subsistence in addition to the registration fee and overall effort.

YRI Conference Grants
PROGRAMMING (PROmoting GeRiAtric Medicine in countries where it is still eMergING, COST Action CA21122) is pleased to announce the new open call for YRI Conference grant applications.
YRI Conference grants aim to support Young Researchers and Innovators (YRIs) (researchers or innovators under the age of 40) establishing a network and increasing visibility via active participation in one of the high-level conferences in a relevant field of study. Herein, the active participation basically implies an oral or poster presentation of the own work given by a YRI.
The amount of the grant which has a maximum limit of EUR 2500,00 (per grant) for face-to-face conferences and EUR 500,00 (per grant) for online conferences, is to be decided by the Action Core Group considering the duration and location of the Conference and the actual conference fee. This funding aims to contribute for the expenses of travelling, accommodation, and subsistence in addition to the registration fee, printing of scientific poster and overall effort.
